Let’s do it, Women4Women and HeForShe. Thursday 10th May 2018

At one of the side events of the UN CSW62 2018,The Africa Women Conference, I was honored with an award amongst other wonderful great African women. The award is the outstanding African woman Award for Civic Leadership and Community Development. I am most honored and humbled.

“WOMEN4WOMEN and HE4SHE “..... a movement of women and men (non religious, non tribal, non political, non cultural ) committed to mobilize Nigerian Women into a Movement/Pressure group to get them to speak up and act on issues of women and Girls - issues dealing with the health, education, security, justice, governance and political sectors.

Still on CSW62 met with great ladies doing wonderful things. Alison Lane Camerota of CNN, our very own Amina Mohammed Deputy Secretary General to the UN, Hawa Bah whose son was killed by NYPD cop, Khuraira Musa, Hon Otiko Djaba Ghana minister of Gender, children and social protection and many more wonderful women

The CSW62 at the UN New York 2018 has been buzzing with lots of activities with women and HeForShe networking to make sure no one left behind. I find this years very successful because I had such wonderful young ladies around me with such great passion. Estella Yahaya, Bode Daze, Salima Shelleng and many more round the globe

Dr. Bilkisu Magoro is the Founder, MagoroFoundation and Bilmor Technical and Vocational Centre, which caters for the needs of women, girls and children. She also has passion for the education of children with special needs.

CSW62 UN New York 2018. Some discussions and presentations. 1. Digital Gender Violence and hate speech. 2. Ending all Violence against ALL women. 3. Addressing sexism 4. Empowering women and promoting gender justice in the Muslim world.5. Harnessing the SDGs to secure women’s rights to land.
