As the 70th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70) at the United Nations Headquarters in New York ends, my heart is filled with reflection, hope, and renewed purpose.

I am honored to once again be in New York at the United Nations Headquarters for the 70th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70), taking place from 9–19 March 2026. UN CSW remains the largest global gathering dedicated to advancing gender equality and the human rights of women and girls.

Ismor Magoro Foundation parallel event, “Ismor EmpowerHer:Advancing Gender Equality with a Focus on Poverty” at the just concluded United Nations Commission on the Status of Women CSW68. Tuesday 19th March 2024.

Empowering Women has been identified as one way to make challenges faced by women all over the world solved. Women Entrepreneurs in Nigeria face so much challenges and the Government, NGOs and Financial Institutions have claimed to be doing a lot to ameliorate these challenges.

Saturday 6th March 2024, as part of our Women’s History Month advocacy, we had interview on Africa on The Rise Television New York with Chinyere Obinna Onwuchekwa , guest on the show were Prof Nkiruka Ifekwem, Her Excellency Barr Stella Odife and myself Dr Bilkisu Magoro.
